Meeting Activity

  • Who We Are: We discussed what Circle K International is and members shared their experiences in past years, such as the Teeter Totter Marathon and the Homecoming Parade.
  • Becoming a Member:
    • Dues
      • $40 if paid by Oct 1
      • $45 if paid Oct 1-Dec 1
      • Venmo: @CircleKatOSU
      • After you pay the dues, fill out the form in your email
    • Commitment
      • Weekly meetings
      • Monthly service projects and socials
      • Member of the Month
    • Retention Reward
      • If you attend 2 out of our first 3 meetings, you will get a prize at our September 19th meeting.
        • Meeting dates: Aug 29, Sept 5, Sept 12
      • Join our groupme and fill out our contact form through the links in your email
  • Board Vacancy: We have a vacancy in the executive board for the role of bulletin editor. The bulletin editor makes newsletters for the club. We are looking for a creative, organized individual for this role.
    • To run for bulletin editor, you do not have to have been a member last year, but you must pay dues immediately if not
    • You could have applied via nomination during the meeting or by email by 10 PM Thursday, September 2
    • Nomination Script

    • During the meeting, Matthew nominated Austin, and Austin accepted. You can apply by replying to this minutes email with the nomination statement.
    • Elections will be held Friday-Sunday next week via email with voting members who were active last year
  • Please fill out the dietary inclusion form in your email
  • Community Commitment At Home Challenge
    • During the meeting, we completed 3 of the activities in this link to enter a raffle for PIF swag and BuckID cash
    • You can do this too! Submit proof of the activities by September 5
  • Popcorn Fundraiser
    • You can fundraise during this window of time: 7:30 PM Sept. 1-7:30 PM Sept. 5
    • Information about how to set everything up can be found here
      • Download the app and type in the code: LHAIRE
    • 50% of the funds raised will be donated directly to our club

  • Saturday, September 4:
    • 8 AM-12:30 PM: Westerville Farmer’s Market volunteer
      • Options: 8-9 AM, 8-10:30 AM, 10:30 AM-12 PM, 12-12:30 PM
      • Sign up by Monday 8/31 at 3 PM in the form in your email
    • 1 PM lunch at Sloopy’s
      • Meet by Brutus at 1 PM
      • No sign-up required
    • 6-9 PM: Art Gallery Hop (free)
  • Town Hall on Mental Health
    • Join us at 7 PM on Tuesday, September 7 for a CKI-wide town hall on mental wellness hosted by Active Minds
  • Kiwanis meeting: dinner fundraiser at City BBQ at 6:30 PM Wednesday, September 8

    • You can sign for the City BBQ at the form in your email
  • Don’t worry about how to get there! You can indicate whether or not you need a ride in the sign-up form.
